Car Hire process
At Nippy Turtle Car Rental we make car hire easy, simply choose your car online using our easy 3 stage booking system. Once you have chosen your car,picked your dates and locations you can then choose any additional options such as Zero excess insurance, baby seats and GPS systems. Fill in your name,email address, and contact number and we will do the rest.
If you are arriving at Paphos International Airport, we will of already requested your flight number and be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a name board. You will be shown your car and any final paperwork is completed, with any remainder of the balance for the car hire being paid in cash or by card.
Should you find yourself with too many bags for your car we can sometimes assist and take to your hotel depending on location.
If you have requested a transfer to your hotel or villa we would of normally already delivered the car to your villa or hotel. We can also stop at a supermarket or grocery store to collect any items should you be arriving late.
Should you be already on holiday and require a car simply call us and we will deliver to your hotel or villa.
Can I specify an exact location to pick up my car?
Once your booking is confirmed, we will arrange for the vehicle to be available from your chosen location at the time and date chosen. If you would like to specify the rental location for example your hotel, you will need to modify your booking by calling Nippy Turtle Reservations on +357 96594628 or by replying to your booking confirmation email with your location requirement.
Can I choose the car model?
When you make your reservation, you will be prompted to choose a vehicle group. This group will normally cover a number of car models. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee a specific model at the time of booking.
How do you calculate the rental rates?
We charge in periods of 24 hours, so if you take a car for 26 hours for instance, it would be charged as 2 days. We do allow a grace time of 59 minutes before we charge for an additional day. The actual cost of the rental will depend on the group of car, when you rent, for how long and where.
Will I receive confirmation of my booking?
If you make an online booking we will send you a reservation confirmation by email. You should print this and keep it for your records. When you collect your car you’ll receive a Rental Agreement which shows your booking details.
An age restriction applies in Cyprus for drivers under 25 or over 65 years of age. A fee of 4.00 euros per day will be applicable for these drivers per rental, to allow them to drive by issuing a special insurance. In order to avoid this charge the renter must be at least 25 years of age or the holder of a valid driving licence for at least 3 years, or under 65.
Can another person drive the rental vehicle?
Each Nippy Turtle vehicle is rented to a specific single driver. The renter may add extra permitted drivers in accordance with Nippy Turtle Car Rental standard policies at a supplemental charge of 4.00 Euros per day per extra permitted driver where applicable.
What documents will I need to provide?
All drivers of the vehicle will need to be present and provide a valid driver’s license. UK drivers with the photo-card driver’s license should present both their photo-card and the accompanying driver record document. An International Driver’s Permit alone is not sufficient for rental – it can only be used in conjunction with a standard driving licence. You will also need a credit/debit card in your own name. Further identification, such as a passport, may also be required.
Are there any mileage limits?
All cars come with unlimited mileage/kilometres. This applies to all cars hired at standard or web discounted rates, provided all other terms and conditions are up-held.
Will there be some petrol in the car?
All rental cars are provided with either a full tank or half tank of fuel. Nippy turtle operates a fair fuel policy and does not charge for any fuel simply return the car with the same amount of fuel as hired.
When you book a Nippy Turtle vehicle you can be sure that the one price will include standard (CDW) insurance with excess (deductible). The exact amount is specific to the type of car and is clearly highlighted on the terms and conditions.
Super damage waiver (S.D.W)
By purchasing S.D.W, you can lower the excess in the event of an accident. The exact amount is specific to the type of car and is clearly highlighted on the terms and conditions.

What happens if the car gets damaged?
Please ensure you check over the car yourself when you first collect it. If you notice any damage at all, please tell the rental agent who will record it on the rental agreement.In the event of a road traffic collision do not move the car stand somewhere away from the highway and call our office straight away.
Can I extend the rental period?
Should you wish to extend your rental beyond the agreed date of termination, it is important that you call the nearest office 24 hours in advance so that insurance coverage is extended and relevant amount for rental is paid.
The rental vehicle may be returned to the same location you are collecting it from, or to another location – whichever is specified at time of booking. A one-way fee may be incurred if the collection and return locations are different.
Can I return the car outside office hours?
Opening times vary for each location. It is not possible to drop the car off once the office has closed although we will always do our up most best to meet you out of hours at any office. If you are returning the car at your hotel, then it is possible.
What about payment
You will need to pay for any additional rental fees or extra charges such as an additional driver or a child seat on arrival if not already paid in full. If you chose to prepay for your rental, payment is taken when the booking is made. You are still required to have a major credit/debit card when you collect your vehicle as this will be necessary for a deposit if not already paid online or if you wish to take out further insurances at the location.
Do I need to refuel before returning the car?
Yes the car should be returned with the same amount as when rented and indicated on the rental agreement.
